Las Vegas and Henderson Leash Laws You Should Know


As a responsible dog owner — and especially when you’re working on training — it’s important to follow local leash laws.

In Las Vegas city limits, dogs must be on leash in all public spaces unless you’re inside a posted off-leash dog park (Municipal Code §7.36.030).

In Henderson, leash laws are enforced under Municipal Code §7.08.020, requiring all dogs to remain on leash in public areas.

In Clark County parks and trails, leashes must be no longer than six feet, and dogs must remain under your control at all times.

Note: On the Las Vegas Strip, between Sahara and Sunset, dogs are not permitted between 5 a.m. and noon — even if leashed.
